Oh the joys of mobile web. What would we do without it? A simple search online will tell you all the statistics over the past few years of how many people have been using mobile web. Here is just one of the documents that I have found online. It's a compilation on the usage increase of different electronics over the year 2010. That document is from 2010, But being that 2011 is not entirely over, I havent found a complete calculation of this past years numbers. I have, however, found the following graph which perfectly explains the whole count. I got it from the digitalbuzzblog.com and therefore owe them a thank you for it. Woman! Teens! Girls! I know you love the latest glitzy jewels and accessories. I also happen to know where you can find them at the best prices ever! When I say best prices, I mean BEST prices. We're not only talking about jewelry here. There are handbags, head scarves, hair accessories and more. Just stuff. Oh so much stuff.

Now the story only gets better. How is that you ask? Well here it is. The store is located in NJ, but ships within the US, as well as internationally. So if you are not in the US, but you're located in Israel, Canada, Mexico or the UK, you can still buy things! How about that? Jul 25, 2011 I don't know, ask Google!

Have you ever had a question, with nobody to ask it to? Maybe wondered about something and wanted to read up on it? Or how about not known the correct spelling of a word and didnt have a dictionary with you? Sure you have, everyone has been there before. Well, thanks to the technology out there in this day and age, we have this fascinating gadget called Google. If you are ever stuck, just ask Google. Google knows best.

Problems arise however, when people stop thinking and instead use Google as their 'brain'. For example;

- Math? Who needs math if we can ask Google?

- Or baking a cake and need to transfer measurements? Who needs to know these things anyway if Googles always there to help?

- And why bother even remembering phone numbers and addresses if Google can tell you much quicker?

So Google may be a great invention, and is so handy when people are stuck with something or another, but is it to much? Think about it. How many times have you needed a bit of help and turned to Google? Dont you sometimes wish all that knowledge was in your head instead? Because I sure do......

Social Media is a term used for the communication and interaction via the web. Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, as well as blogs, YouTube, Amazon, and EBay are some of the more well known Social Media sites. Any website that brings people together to discuss a product or business, and either promote or degrade it, is known as a Social Media Network.

Being that up until now businesses have been able to advertise via yellow pages or newspapers, the need for using these websites was limited to just socializing. However, lately, not many people read the news in newspapers anymore, and yellow pages doesn't exist. The way news and products get out there now is via web. As a matter of fact its much more efficient this way, being that news gets around exceptionally quickly. Something gets posted on Twitter or Facebook, and all followers/friends see it. People can publicize about a product they liked or hated and anybody who will Google that item can read up on its reviews. This way, businesses get publicized whether for good or bad as well as products.

So this is the beauty of social media networking.

There is however, a downside to it. Now its not as simple as buying an ad in the local newspaper and then being done with it. It takes time and effort to manage all of your social media sites. So this is where Social Media Managers come in. You pay them, instead of the newspaper publishers. They run your social networks for you and in exchange you get yourself out there and public. Its a lot on their part, being that your social media manager must know how to get your name out there and have traffic headed your way. Its not simple, but it most definitely pays off, if and when done the right way.

So there it is. The importance and necessities of a social media manager. Now its up to you decide whether its a necessity for YOU.
